Message from the Executive Director
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Welcome to the official website of the Universal Access Program at King Saud University.
The Universal Access Program, operating under the Vice Presidency for Projects, embodies the University’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and accessible environment that enables all beneficiaries to participate fully and equitably in academic, research, professional, and community life. Through this commitment, the University seeks to ensure that accessibility becomes an integral component of its institutional culture and development journey.
The Program plays a pivotal role in advancing accessibility across physical, digital, and educational environments by promoting universal design principles and implementing national and international accessibility standards. Through these efforts, we strive to remove barriers, expand opportunities, and enhance the quality of services and experiences available to all members of the University community, particularly persons with disabilities.
Aligned with the strategic objectives of the Vice Presidency for Projects, the Program works to integrate accessibility into planning, development, and service delivery processes, while supporting innovation in accessible solutions, assistive technologies, and inclusive practices. Our vision extends beyond compliance to creating a sustainable and empowering environment where every individual can contribute, thrive, and achieve their full potential.
In collaboration with our partners across the University and beyond, the Program has launched a range of impactful initiatives and projects in digital accessibility, accessible built environments, capacity building, awareness development, and assistive technology. These efforts contribute to strengthening King Saud University’s position as a leading institution in accessibility, inclusion, and equal opportunity.
Through this website, we aspire to provide a gateway to the Program’s services, initiatives, projects, and achievements, while fostering communication, collaboration, and knowledge sharing with all stakeholders. We also seek to support the aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030 by contributing to the development of a more inclusive, accessible, and sustainable society.
We remain committed to continuous improvement and innovation in accessibility practices and to advancing a university environment where inclusion is not only a principle, but a lived reality for all.
