Executive Director's Message

Praise be to Allah, and prayers and peace be upon the most honorable prophet and messenger, our master Muhammad, and upon his family and all his companions. I am pleased to welcome you to the website of the Universal Access Program at King Saud University, which was created and activated based on the university’s belief in the necessity of achieving comprehensive accessibility requirements for persons with disabilities according to international standards. King Saud University has come a long way in providing services to persons with disabilities, whether in the field of legislation regulating access to services or in the field of providing material and technical services that support them  overcome any architectural or technical obstacles to ensure effective participation and support the principle of (a university for all). So, from this standpoint, the Universal Access Program has issued three pioneering policies  that distinguish it from other universities in the region. These policies  are:

-  Organizational rules and procedures for services for students with disabilities at King Saud University.

- Easy access to King Saud University’s websites and electronic services.

- Building a checklist to easily monitor easily removable obstacles.

The program also launched the “Wusul” service on the university’s main electronic gate to report any technical or engineering obstacles that may cause disability for persons with special needs at the university, as this service is compatible with international standards and experiences and is the first among Arabian universities, and in terms of engineering rehabilitation of buildings on campus. The program worked to spread awareness and implement global universal access requirements for the rehabilitation of university buildings and facilities. Regarding the engineering rehabilitation of buildings on the university campus, the Universal Access Program has worked on raising awareness and implementing global universal access requirements for the  rehabilitation of  buildings and university facilities.

We, in the Universal Access Program at King Saud University, seek to consolidate the concept (principle) of Universal Access with institutional work based on the rules of partnership, standardization, sustainability and innovation, based on the rules of organized work according to global concepts.
